Questions people ask
Can someone come out today?
We can't promise a time. Call 01202 125671 and tell us water is coming in. We pass your job on to a local roofer, and when they can get there is agreed with you. In high winds, roofers often can't work safely at height until the weather calms down.
Water is dripping through my ceiling. What should I do first?
Keep everyone out from under a ceiling that is bulging or sagging. Don't touch wet light fittings or sockets, and switch off the electricity at the fuse box if you can reach it without going near the water. Put buckets under drips and move your belongings. Don't go up on the roof yourself.
Can a roofer do a temporary repair?
Often, yes. A sheet over the damaged area, refixing a few tiles or patching a flat roof can stop the water until a permanent repair is agreed. Ask the roofer what they did, how long it should last and what the permanent fix will involve.
Who actually does the work?
Roof Repair Bournemouth is a referral service. We pass your enquiry to a local roofer who covers your area. Any quote, price and booking are agreed between you and that roofer. Read how our referral service works.
Will my insurance pay for storm damage?
Many buildings policies cover sudden storm damage but not wear and tear. Take photos before anything is moved or repaired, note the date, keep any receipts, and call your insurer early.
